Hello fellow disciples of rock and heavy metal! I’ve got a bit of personal news, i’m back to the academia camps for a little re-education. Today marks my first day of IT – Network Support at NBCC Woodstock. Though not directly related to my audio work, with the amount of fighting with computers on the day to day, it will certainly come in handy for some of my session work. For the handful of my current clients, this means I’ll generally only be able to book sessions after work hours, weekends, and holidays. Don’t hesitate to get in touch, but the schedule will look a little less wide open for the next year.
The Man Strikes Again, Free to Download!
Hello again, lovers of rock and metal! It’s been a couple weeks now, Monteith Mania has been available to the public, and we’ve decided to open up the downloads on one of our favorite tracks!
The Man Strikes Again, give it a download off of soundcloud, and inject it straight into your veins. To see them play this live is something transcendent, but this audio fix should get you to your next MONTEITH show.
Disks are in for Monteith Mania!
We’ve finally done it! For those of you that have been following the building success of the Monteith Clan, you may already know how long a time this has been coming.
The minigun drumming of Chaddus Provost, Shaun with a voice from a tainted heaven, and Daniel with shredding talents from other lands, all of the pieces come together to bring rock and roll back from it’s shallow grave. Continue reading
Claridryl – Collaboration With Bryce Vandenhoven
Thrash/Death Metal Collaboration by Jake Duffie and Bryce Vandenhoven
Hello! Met this guy as 4312 on Reddit, and damn, does he shred. He was great to work with putting this together. Bryce played the guitars and bass, and I programmed the drums, and gave the thing a mix and master. Check out some of his other tunes on his soundcloud! I did a few of the vocals near the middle but the rest are Bryce’s. Continue reading
New Tune – Bloodletter
Hello! It’s been a while since I’ve gotten a tune of my own out there, and this one took me longer than I like them to. I prefer the recording process to be condensed into a few days to a weeks, just to keep levels, tones, and energy consistent, but this time it spread closer to the month range. As with most of my personal stuff, it is some kind of hybrid between punk and metal, always trying to keep it fast. Hope you guys enjoy it! Continue reading
Recording and Mixing Rooms
The Underground Alliance crew is getting more and more used to the more country style living out in Woodstock, and we’re all finding our little projects to keep ourselves busy. Most recently, I’ve slapped some velcro on some of my more essential stomp-boxes, and a sanded down piece of lumber for a simple pedalboard.
With recording an mixing being my primary passions, I’ll talk a bit about our setup so far for doing just that. Continue reading
Settling In To The New Location
We’ve been moved up to Woodstock NB for about a month and a half now, and the property is well on it’s way to being primed and ready. Some of our efforts have been divided towards some of the necessary farm work preparing for the winter, which mostly entailed plating garlic and tilling the earth.
Our music projects have fallen onto the backburner a bit since our relocation to Woodstock, but we’ve definitely taken our breaks to sharpen our skills in our various fields in the Underground Alliance. Chaddus Provost and I had recorded THIS drum demo to tease at some of our future capabilities. Continue reading
